wisdom teeth removal

Most dental offices require that you have a referral to an oral surgeon for removal of wisdom teeth. Because of their location and tendency toward impaction, many dentists prefer to avoid in-office treatment.

At Northview Dental of Indianapolis, Dr. Benson and Dr. Pasicznyk provides his patients with this service comfortably, effectively, and without the need to make a trip to a specialist. We know that patients prefer to have their treatment with someone they like, know, and trust!

painless wisdom tooth removal

Dentistry does not have to be painful! We use our 3-D cone beam technology to determine the precise location and angle of your wisdom teeth so that we can quickly, effectively and painlessly remove them.

For patients who feel they need a little help to relax, we offer three levels of sedation dentistry: nitrous oxide (mild), oral sedation (moderate), and IV sedation (highest level of sedation) to ensure that you feel completely relaxed and ready for your procedure. If sedation dentistry appeals to you, we will be happy to discuss all of your options.

Not all wisdom teeth require removal. They can, however, become problematic for several reasons. Because of their location, they are difficult to reach and often crowd next to your second molars, making it difficult to access them. Experience and a talent for comfortable surgery make removing your wisdom teeth in our office convenient and pain-free.

Wisdom teeth may also grow in at odd angles, never having enough room to actually erupt through your gums.

Additionally, even if your wisdom teeth manage to grow successfully through your gums, they are more prone to decay because of their location. They may also push against your other teeth, creating problems with your bite. An evaluation can determine if your wisdom teeth are putting your oral health at risk. Dr. Benson and Dr. Pasicznyk will discuss your treatment options with you so that you can make a good decision regarding the future of your oral health.
